This is to advise you that the 2022 HCCF Membership Meeting will take place as follows:

grants 2 pic standardThe Heron Creek Community Foundation is pleased to announce grant recipients for 2021. The application process included an assessment of the current needs of the citizens of North Port by contacting the North Port Police Department, North Port Schools, the Department of Social Services in North Port, churches, other foundations and charitable organizations.  

meals on wheels2North Port Meals on Wheels is an all-volunteer organization that relies on people like you, to prepare a nutritious meal and deliver a friendly visit to over 130 people who have trouble cooking a meal for themselves. We serve clients Monday through Saturday, including holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

You Came Through Again!
This year, All Faith’s Food Bank had asked HCCF to shift the annual Heron Creek Community Foundation Food Drive to a FUND DRIVE.  The Fund Drive ran from Monday, February 8 until Friday, February 12 and was very successful. 

Bryce M Class of 2020Where do your dollars go?  The Board is pleased to support Take Stock in Children.  The 2021 Grant supported and paid for the 8th mentoring and full four-year post-secondary scholarship.  This program seeks out students from families that have few or no previous college graduates.  Show to the left is Bryce Muniz, a 2016 recipient who graduated from North Port High School in 2020.

This is to announce that at its 2019 Annual Meeting of Members, held on Monday January 18, the membership elected the following new members to serve on the Board of Directors:

On behalf of the Board, we would like to congratulate them and thank them for their willingness to serve on the Board and help us continue to guide the Foundation to support the organizations that serve the citizens of North Port.

The HCCF Board of Directors is extending an invitation to jump on the band wagon and feel the joy of being involved with an institution whose sole purpose is "giving back" to help those in need in the North Port community.   These days, due to many factors like Red Tide and low wages, many North Port families are in need.
