TSIC has been the recipient of Heron Creek Community Foundation (HCCF) grants for the past seven years and now again in 2021. Through their unique Public/Private Partnership, our grant dollars are double matched dollar to dollar by Florida Prepaid Foundation Scholarship program. This program provides an incentive to students who improve grades and invest the time needed to be fully prepared for college. (TSIC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty for low-income, academically qualified students by providing opportunities for a post-secondary education. They offer full scholarships
to students, provide caring volunteer mentors, and instill hope for a better life. Their comprehensive services begin in middle school, continue through high school and include students’ transition into college and a career. Participating students are required to maintain positive behavior, remain drug and crime free, achieve solid academic standing, regularly meet with their assigned volunteer mentor, and participate in TSIC college success programs throughout their enrollment in TSIC. Upon their high school graduation, their scholarship awaits them for the next step in their academic journey to the Florida college, university, or vocational program of their choice.
