- In person ticket sales will be stopped at 7:00 pm on the date of the drawing.
4. Drawing Time & Location
- Drawings are held every Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Heron Creek Beef O’Brady’s located at 1037 N. Sumter Blvd. North Port, FL.
- If a drawing date falls on a major holiday, it will be postponed by one week.
5. How the Game Works
- Each ticket includes the purchaser’s name, phone number, and a chosen card number (1–54).
- Tickets are entered into a locked drum for a live drawing.
- One ticket is drawn each week. The owner of the drawn ticket receives a $50 cash prize and the opportunity to reveal a card from the Queen of Hearts board.
- If the drawn ticket is blank or contains information that is illegible and/or a card number that has already been excluded, the ticket will become void, and prizes will be carried over to the jackpot for the next weekly drawing; however, if the owner of the drawn ticket is present, they may claim the weekly prize using the ticket number and announce the card to be drawn.
- All tickets are destroyed at the conclusion of each weekly drawing.
- In the unlikely event the Queen of Hearts Board is compromised by any cause, the HCCF reserves the right at its sole discretion to continue the game with a new board with the current jackpot amount rolling forward to the new board.
6. Jackpot & Winnings
- The jackpot prize will be determined by the number of tickets sold, leading up to the point where the Queen of Hearts is revealed. For example, if 6,500 tickets are sold, the jackpot would be $6,500. If the contestant selects a card that turns out to be the Queen of Hearts, that contestant will receive $3,250 ($2,600 if not present), and the remaining money will become part of the HCCF Grant pool. If the Queen of Hearts is not revealed, then the pot will increase to $6,500 plus the money collected during the following week’s sales.
- All prizes must be claimed within 30 days after the day the winning ticket is pulled out. Unclaimed prizes from the Queen of Hearts campaign will be donated back to HCCF
- If the Queen of Hearts is revealed, the winner receives 50% of the jackpot if present at the drawing, or 40% if not present.
- If the Queen is not revealed, the selected card is removed from play and the jackpot rolls over to the next week.
- The remaining jackpot balance is donated to the HCCF grant fund once the Queen is found.
- All winners must be 18 years of age or older. If a winner is not 18 years of age or older, the prize is forfeited and shall be reverted to the HCCF.
- All winners agree that their image and identity may be used by HCCF for advertising purposes or any other lawful purpose without compensation.
- To claim a winning prize the purchaser must provide the ticket stub from the other half, or their online ticket confirmation email and a valid government issued identification in person.
- All winners are responsible for paying the applicable taxes on any prize they win. All prizes over $600 will be paid by check and HCCF will issue the winner a W2G, which will require the winner to provide his/her social security number. No prize will be paid until the W2G information is provided. For prizes greater than $5,000, HCCF is required to withhold IRS backup withholding tax (currently set at 24%) per IRS rules and regulations.
