John Blazi, Director

John Blazi was born and raised in Hamden Connecticut, which is a suburb of New Haven.  He is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  After college he joined the Amtrak Police Department, where he served on their Organized Crime and Fraud Units.  He is also a graduate of Qinnapiac University Law School, and founder of the John Blazi law firm, which represented Metro North Commuter Railroad, Connecticut Transit, United Illuminating, and many insurance carriers and municipalities throughout Connecticut.  John has served as a board member of the Heritage Village, one of the largest 55 and older communities in the Northeast.  Throughout the years, John has supported groups such as the Women’s Breast Cancer Awareness Committee of Waterbury, Waterbury Special Olympics Foundation, and the Rivera-Hughes Youth Athletic League.  John an his wife Trish moved to Heron Creek in January of this year, and they have attended many of the functions sponsored by the Foundation.
