Sharon Matthews has called North Port home for 30 years, with the last seven years being in Heron Creek.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Sharon pursued a career in the insurance industry where she met her husband, Steve. Steve and Sharon’s insurance business, Matthews Insurance/Allstate is located in North Port and has been proudly serving the greater North Port area since 1994.
Sharon serves on the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Director and Executive Commitee, serving as secretary for two years. She is the current incoming President for 2023. Sharon is also on the Board of Directors for The Divas, a 501(c)3 dedicated to giving back to the youth of our community. She was a past board member for the United Way of South Sarasota County and the Gene Mathews Boys and Girls Club.
