Tom had a diverse and successful working Career in Canada and the United States. He started in the Royal Canadian Navy as a weapons man underwater, clearance, and ships diver for six years, where he was honored as the youngest recipient of the prestigious Canadian Centennial Medal for his work in the Royal Canadian Navy. For the next 20 years, he worked with Atlantic Canadas largest Heavy Equipment Distributor, starting as a mechanics helper, and leaving the company as Director of Sales and Marketing.
In 1992, he immigrated to the USA after marrying his wife, Lucinda. They lived in Minnesota, where Tom became Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a software company. He spent five years working in Asia/Pacific, building the company’s. Tom’s final assignment in the corporate world was with Generac Power Systems, where he was responsible for the company’s distribution Dealer Network. He became President of Pro Power Solutions, Generac’s only corporately owned Dealership in Atlanta, GA. Tom later facilitated the sale of that dealership to Energy Systems South East and continued in that capacity until his retirement as the dealership’s President and General Manager for the new Owner.
Tom served as a Board member for the Mankato Golf & Country Club for six years, The Canadian Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association, and the Dartmouth Yacht Club in Halifax/Dartmouth, NS. Canada.
