The 2026 Annual meeting of the Heron Creek Foundation membership was held on Wednesday, January 28th and we awarded $190,230 to help our North Port Neighbors in need. There were approximately 75 people in attendance at the Heron Creek Golf & CC, and the attendees included local dignataries from the City of North Port, the Heron Creek Development Company, Media Representatives and 24 Grant Recipients.
During the opening session, Foundation President Kevin Smith and Grant Committee Chair Rick Bliss presented grants totalling $190,230 to 24 non-profit organizations serving the citizens of North Port. Click here for details on the 2025 grant recipients. The remainder of the meeting was attended by Foundation members only, and they were presented with the 2026 business plan. A great time was had by all, and everyone walked away with a great feeling of success through our collective giving model.
