The current Board of Directors has approved a slate of nominees for the class of 2028. You may recall that two of the nominees for the class of 2028 withdrew their names just before the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Membership, so we were only able to elect Nick Cipolla, and Carol Kantor to the Board of Directors at that time. A motion was made to table the election of the two remaining vacancies until such time as the nominating committee could find suitable candidates for the remaining open positions. That motion (and subsequent unanimous approval) will allow us to apply the 2026 Annual Meeting proxy votes to the election of the two remaining Class of 2028 Board positions.
On March 18, 2026, the nominating committee (chaired by Dave Sobecki) submitted the names of Victoria Zingler and Jeff Ward as the nominees to fill the class of 2028 vacancies. These are two outstanding candidates for the vacant Director positions, and a fomal vote on their acceptance to the Board is scheduled for the April Board meeting, which is scheduled for April 29, 2026 at 3:00 in the Board Room at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club. Members are invited to attend the Board election portion of the meeting, but reservations are required. Reservations may be submitted by sending a request to info@heroncreekfoundation.org.
