HCCF Helps “End Summer Hunger”

Heron Creek Foundation Vice President, Tom Ferris, Financial Officer, Nick Cipolla, AFFB representative Victoria Hasselbring, and HCF President, Kevin Smith participate in check presentation at AFFB headquarters

Another outstanding display of caring took place in March of this year when the Heron Creek neighborhood residents participated in the All Faiths Food Bank “End Summer Hunger” campaign.  Working with the Heron Creek Foundation, volunteers in each of the sixteen neighborhoods collected $17,510.  When matched dollar for dollar through an anonymous donor, our contribution will provide $35,020 to this worthwhile cause. That is an outstanding contribution!  Great work by the neighborhood chairs and all the residents. Check out the AFB’s most recent newsletter, where you will see some of the impressive statistics the food bank is posting.  Your Heron Creek Foundation Board of Directors are quite proud of the way our community responds to fundraising activities of this nature.

Thanks to all residents who participated in the “End Summer Hunger” campaign, and we look forward to your continued support of the Heron Creek Foundation.  Another huge way our residents can help is by joining the Heron Creek Foundation. The $100 annual membership fee goes a long way in our collective giving model. Join the Heron Creek Foundation.
