The 2024 Annual Membership Meeting was held on January 31st at the Heron Creek Golf & Country Club with approximately 35 members in attendance. In addition to the HCCF members, 13 of the 15 grant recipients attended the meeting along with media correspondents and non-Foundation members with an interest in our programs. HCCF President Roy Munnellly declared a quorum after announcing that we had received 87 Proxy votes from members that were unable to attend the meeting in person.
Mr. Munnelly gave a very positive report on the status of the Foundation, and he projected great enthusiasm for what’s in store for 2024, now that we are a 501 (c) (3) organization. Director Bill Bay, Chairman of the Grants Committee, awarded $79,612 in grants to 15 local non-profit organizations, bringing our total grant allocation amount to $625,629 since the Foundation began in 2010.Â
